The SDSMF hosted our 10^th Annual Taste at the Cove on Wednesday, August 31, 2011, (www.tasteatthecove.com).  Taste at the Cove is a five star event that features food from San Diego's top-rated restaurants, a New York Style Runway Fashion Show and, two local honorees (one in the medical field and one professional athlete) as well as silent and live auctions. The SDSMF is excited to honor retired Padres relief pitcher, Trevor Hoffman as our Community Legend and Carolyn Greer ATC at University of San Diego as our Medical Champion. 

The fundraiser event takes place at La Jolla Cove at Scripps Browning Park with special appearances by The San Diego Chargers and The San Diego Padres. In 2002, we raised $75,000. The event is so successful that last year we more than doubled the amount, earning close to $400,000 for the SDSMF. Over a thousand people attend the charitable event each year. All proceeds go directly to the SDSMF to support our many sports medicine programs.
