San Diego High School Athletic Trainers Association
|
Purpose: Promote education and fellowship among secondary school certified athletic trainers in San Diego while continuing to advance the profession of athletic training in the community.
Criteria: Certified Athletic Trainer employed by a high school in San Diego County.
Goals:
-
Build a relationship with governing athletic training associations, physicians, and vendors. We hope to gain endorsement from CATA, FWATA, and NATA.
-
Educate secondary school athletic administration and community to exemplify the value of ATC’s. To support this, we will promote and seek endorsement from the San Diego conference athletic associations, and San Diego H.S. Sports Association. Additionally, we will provide volunteer medical support to community events. 3) Provide CEU opportunities for member certified athletic trainers to assist in fulfilling the required 80 hours every three years.
-
Develop effective communication system among secondary school ATC’s through association, our group website, and member newsletter.
-
Support the development of career opportunities in the secondary school setting by providing a posting location for new jobs. We will also provide resource information and solutions to assist schools in acquiring the services of a certified athletic trainer.
